Apply for CHW Training
Our 16-week Community Health Worker Training Academy prepares Baltimore residents to serve as certified frontline health navigators. The program is fully funded through grants, with no tuition cost to participants. Priority is given to residents of medically underserved ZIP codes who demonstrate strong community ties and a commitment to health equity. Graduates earn Maryland DHMH CHW certification and receive individualized career placement support, with a 94% job placement rate within 90 days of graduation.
Eligibility Requirements
- Baltimore City or Baltimore County resident (age 18 or older)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to commit to 16-week full-time schedule (Mon-Thu, 9am-3pm)
- Demonstrated community involvement or health advocacy experience
- Bilingual proficiency preferred but not required

Volunteer as a Data Collector
Our Neighborhood Health Needs Assessment program recruits and trains community data collectors for each assessment cycle. As a community data collector, you will receive 40 hours of paid training in survey administration, informed consent procedures, and community engagement methods, then conduct door-to-door household health surveys in your neighborhood alongside experienced field coordinators. Data collectors are compensated at $18 per hour for all training and fieldwork hours.

Institutional Partnership
CC Health Development partners with Federally Qualified Health Centers, hospital systems, health departments, academic institutions, and community-based organizations to expand the reach and impact of our programs. Partnership models include CHW practicum site hosting, joint research collaborations, clinic capacity building engagements, mobile clinic route coordination, and co-investment in shared health equity data infrastructure.
